Golden Axe Legends is a free beat 'em up game for Windows, utilizing the OpenBOR engine and inspired by the Golden Axe franchise. Players, up to four simultaneously, can select characters from the first two Golden Axe installments, such as the warrior, dwarf, Amazon, and panther man. Each character boasts unique moves beyond the original games, adding depth to combat.
The game introduces counterattacks, special moves, and non-linear gameplay where players choose their path, leading to different phases. Upon completing the main quest, new game modes unlock, providing extended gameplay.
